When PC World wanted to develop a coaching programme for their Store Group Managers they turned to Penna. After the success of the ‘Leader as Coach’ initiative, Penna was then asked to design a number of further programmes to support them through an organisational restructure and to enable the transition to a performance coaching culture.

We are now approaching the 7th year of working in partnership with the Police Service Northern Ireland (PSNI). In 1999, an independent review of policing in Northern Ireland, established under the terms of the Good Friday agreement recommended the creation of a new, smaller force. In 2001, a voluntary severance scheme was launched to reduce Police Service Northern Ireland (PSNI) numbers and to change the composition of the service over 10 years. Penna won the competition to manage the outplacement process over five years.  In March 2005 after an open tender competition Penna was re-awarded the contract for a further 3 years with an option to re-new for 2 further periods of 2 years.

Penna was appointed to undertake work for the Home Office in designing, implementing and managing a large-scale campaign to recruit 10 independent members, 10 psychologist members and 3 criminologist members for the Parole Board.

Scottish Natural Heritage engaged Penna as its HR Partner to provide career transition and recruitment services over a 2.5 year period in Scotland. This involved relocating around 250 posts from Edinburgh to Inverness.
